Toddlers have many opportunities to physically explore their world inside the classroom and on the playground. They also begin more structured activities, such as learning centers and circle time. Your toddler will begin learning concepts of color and size, and will build their vocabulary. Our staff understands the challenges that one-year- old's face in a social learning setting, and have experience in helping them adjust to the give and take of the classroom environment.
Program Highlights
Creative Curriculum
The Creative Curriculum for toddlers focuses on delivering nurturing, consistent and loving interactions. Young children experience rapid development and we provide many hands-on opportunities to learn, grow and explore. We have monthly themes which allow our toddlers to play, observe and discover. Our comprehensive curriculum focuses on Language and Literacy, Social-Emotional, Creative Expression, Mathematics, and Wellness. Children start to develop self-help and socialization skills. They sing, play, dance, draw, and recognize shapes, colors, and numbers. They hone their fine motor skills, coordination, and sense of wonder.
Socialization
Parent Communication
We understand the importance of sharing your child’s day! We do so with our daily sheets, and our teachers communicating with you about your child’s day. Our Facebook page is updated daily with photos. We share periodic developmental assessments and the many moments of growth and progress your child experiences here.
A young child’s self-confidence and socialization skills are developed at a very early age, as their curious nature prompts them to reach out to other children and adults. We aid in this time of development by encouraging social interaction, friendship and learning experiences through group play activities. Our teachers consistently interact with our young students in a nurturing and reassuring way to build a loving, trusting and supportive environment.
